Alicia snuggled into Ace as per the norm, but not before reaching for Steve to play with in his lap! She made tiny meows while marching him around and once even pretended like Steve gave Ace a 'kitty kiss.'
Conrad was about to fallback on Jinglebells purely because it was one of the few he knew all the way through when Lorna said, "How about Silent Night?" and laughed. Yes she was referencing things from her very young childhood. No, she didn't care who judged her for referencing the Shrek Christmas CD. Rick laughed loudly and Conrad felt like he missed something - because he did. Alicia though, recognized the title and hummed her butchered version of it while playing with Steve.

Skylar: She missed the joke as well, but was happy to go along with it. She began for everyone, waving her finger like a baton for the first couple of measures. She only knew the one verse, although she knew a couple words of the second. Once everyone was done, she pointed over at Conrad.
"Your turn!" she said, putting him on the spot.

Conrad looked around. The jig was up. WAIT.
"Jingle bells?" he asked, looking around and praying that wasn't a dumb suggestion. Alicia hopped in Ace's lap- she loved Jingle Bells!!! She'd sing more loudly than anyone else, probably!

Skylar: She grinned, and led the chorus. Alicia was correct, she absolutely DID sing louder than everyone else! They sang a couple verses, and repeated one or two, just because she was so enthusiastic.
Skylar was halfway through her third glass of wine, and was beginning to feel pretty sleepy.
"Does everyone know "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen?" she asked. It was one of her favorites, not in the least because of all the hardcore rockin' out versions of it there were.
Ace: He sang happily along to Jingle Bells, bouncing Alicia on his knee for part of it, making her voice bounce too. He was glad not to be called on next, however, as he didn't really have a backup carol. He began trying to think of one, in case his turn came around.

Rick: "Oh sure! Good one, that one!" He laughed loudly. "I don't know how many verses, but I know the first one at least!" He also enjoyed the many versions of the song. Lorna thought she knew some of the words, but wasn't really sure. Conrad shook his head nervously. He'd never even heard of that one. Alicia continued playing with Steve and eventually made him climb 'Ace Hill,' which was his arm.

Skylar: She launched into it anyway, since she certainly wasn't going to skip her favorite carol. She only knew about three verses, but she found that impressive if she was going to be honest. Her wine glass was empty again, wasn't that funny?
Ace: He merely hummed along, knowing the tune but not the words. He watched Alicia play with her cat, trying to be an accommodating jungle gym.
Skylar: As they stumbled through the last verse, even she fell to humming sometimes, and she heard a noise above their singing. A scratching at the walls and door, and a low moaning.
"Sounds like we have some carolers," she said, her words very slightly slurred. She didn't know why, but she thought that joke was very funny, even though she realized what it meant. She sat up and laughed a little as she said, "Somebody should probably go take care of them though."

Conrad jumped up, on full alert, his adrenaline already racing. How'd they get past the fences? How'd they get so close without them knowing? His heart was racing as he looked around the room. Skylar was well on her way to being plastered, and Lorna had had two and a half glasses, Rick three. He didn't know how well they could hold their liquor, or even how that even worked, but he was glad to see they had also jumped up. Lorna dashed for her guns and Rick made his way to grab his bats.
Lorna looked up at the skylight upstairs. "We need to get on the roof," she said. "Skylar's useless right now and Conrad's got a hard time steadying himself. Rick, Ace, let's see who can get through the skylight."

Ace: He stood immediately, carrying Alicia upstairs. He set her down, giving her explicit instructions not to move. He looked up at the skylight and knew immediately.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to fit through that, ma'am." he said. Measuring them up, Rick probably wouldn't either. Lorna might, but she was cutting it close, especially with her hips. He wasn't sure who could fit through there easily, especially in sufficient winter gear.
Skylar: "Hey!" she said, standing and scowling in offense. "I am not useless!" She stumbled a little, having gotten up too quickly. Okay, maybe she was farther gone than she'd thought. But she wasn't drunk enough to not understand the gravity of the situation. "If we're needing to get on the roof, I'm the best bet!" she insisted, "Or maybe the rabbit, but even he's a tight squeeze with all those coats on."

Rick was indignant and tried to force himself through the skylight. He'd managed to get his shoulders through, but damn his gut. He dropped down hard and looked over at Lorna.
"It's either you 'r one 'a them," he said, pointing with his thumb. He kneeled to give Lorna a boost and she managed to make it part-way through. She was feeling pretty good about herself until she got stuck at the hips. She dropped back in, face red and eyebrows furrowed. Glancing back at Conrad and Skylar, she looked over at Ace. Yeah, he definitely couldn't fit. His shoulders were far too broad.
Sighing, she looked over at them and said, "Who thinks they can realistically do the best job?"
Conrad looked over at Skylar and over at the walkers clawing at the doors before running a hand down his face. "I honestly don't know, but I'm willing to try. What do you think?" he asked her. "I know we can fit up there, but can you aim?"

Skylar: She cocked her head and furrowed her brow, thinking seriously. She knew this was important.
"Maybe we should both go," she wound up deciding. "Together we ought to be able to do some damage." She went up the stairs, going to her room first to grab a thick jacket and a gun. She went back to the skylight, squinting up at it. "You're going to have to make sure I don't fall, though," she admitted.

Conrad nodded and boosted her up before grabbing a hoodie and praying he'd be okay up there. Lorna passed up a gun for the each of them, as well as a couple clips each.
Lorna dashed down the stairs and grabbed Conrad's crowbar and her thick coat. Rick pulled on a coat as well, and tossed Ace his leather jacket. "Ready?" Lorna called, dashing through the kitchen to open the backdoor. "We'll make our way around to the front- be careful to stay close to the house so Conrad and Skylar have an easier time with shooting... NOT us." She could have probably formed that more eloquently had she not had two and a half mugs of wine.
"They're clawing at the doors, so one or two might get in. We'll be okay if you two get ready for when I open the door! On my mark," she said, taking a deep breath. "3.... 2.... 1...... GO!" She opened the door wide, hiding behind it as she did, and a walker fell in- two others got curious and began heading toward where their zombie bud fell in.

Skylar: She almost lost it right there at the beginning. Conrad boosted her up, and the handhold she went for turned out to be not so stable after all. She slipped and began sliding, only stopped by his sudden and firm grasp. She regained her balance, breathing hard, adrenaline racing. The good thing was that the almost-fall combined with the icy air did a lot to sober her up. She climbed the roof to its peak with Conrad, going very slowly, gripping each hand and foothold firmly. Finally she straddled the peak of the roof and looked around, assessing. There weren't very many zombies around, maybe six or seven. She didn't know where they'd come from, but she didn't see any others approaching the house, and visibility was pretty good now that the snow had stopped.
She loaded and cocked her gun, peering down the barrel. The figures of the zombies wavered slightly in her vision, but she did her best to focus and aim. Her first three shots missed, and her fourth one took a zombie down, but it was still moving around, meaning she hadn't gotten a headshot. She cursed, and reaimed. At least with it down it wasn't moving around as much. She aimed very carefully, and BLAM, one less biter to worry about.
Ace: He followed behind Lorna, ax gripped tightly in hand. As she dealt with the MRZA on the floor, he hauled around, hitting one of the ones peering inside directly through the skull. He jerked his weapon out, turning to the other and dealing with it just as swiftly. The one good thing about fighting these things was that you basically always had the element of surprise. He headed outside, hugging the walls and looking for any more to kill.

Lorna did in fact take care of the walker on the floor and Rick helped her get it out of the house with somewhat minimal tile-splattering. Once outside, he picked it up over one shoulder and began making a pile of the corpses in the backyard, careful to be sure his presence was known to the shooters on the roof. Only Conrad seemed to be looking that way anyway, and he waved as if to say 'Don't worry,' when Rick began piling up the corpses. He managed to get all three and he also found some out near the fence where part of it had broken half-way. He couldn't see to the other fence from there though, due to the blizzarding ice and snow pelting his eyes and face.
"LOR!" he called back to her retreating form as it moved around the house the opposite way Ace had gone. She looked back at him as he continued. "I'M GONNA TRY TA FIX THIS QUICK- COVER ME!" She nodded and made her way toward him, jumping over the broken part as Rick began nailing boards back this way and that to keep whatever was out there back. He was making quick work of it, but they could fix it more properly later. Lorna was caught between fences for the moment at that point, though, and found a few more. She waved at Ace over the fence as if to say 'I'm kinda stuck over here haha,' before using the crowbar to knock off another biter.
Conrad at one point decided to link arms with Skylar on the roof- if she ended up falling, he'd go too. He was sitting on the top of the roof and managed to pick off a couple walkers- the cold air helped him a lot, and linking arms with Skylar helped him steady his weapon well enough that picking them off wasn't hard after two or three bullets each- once he'd used six and was silently thanking the Christmas God that Lorna's weapons cold hold so many bullets.
Past what they'd gotten though, he couldn't see anymore. "I think we're clear?" he said to Skylar, looking around at the fences. He couldn't see that well, but-- "Oh, except that one way back there." He pointed at it, suddenly realizing what Alicia might have meant by 'Snowmen inna snow.' They looked like white blobs from here. "Skylar, is it just me, or... does that look kind of like a snowman."

Skylar: She looked around. At least at the front of the house, he seemed to be right. She looked around the back and raised her gun suddenly, before realizing what she was looking at.
"Thank god for ginger hair," she mumbled, then added louder, "I think you're right. We can go back in." She began the arduous task of climbing down the roof, sliding very carefully in small intervals. She looked up at his comment, tilted her head, and said, "Oh my god, you're right. Just stick a carrot in his nosehole and call him Frosty." She shook her head, continuing down to the skylight. Once she got there, she carefully lowered herself down and dropped the last foot or so. She moved out of the way, looking around to make sure Alicia was still okay.
Ace: He hurried over once he was positive all the MRZA's around the house were dead. He used a small mound as a springboard and hopped over the fence, springing into action immediately and helping Lorna dispatch the last of the zombies. He wiped his brow and looked around. Yeah, he was pretty sure that was all of them. They made their way back to the fence and he laced his hands together, offering Lorna a step to help her over the fence.

Alicia had moved to a window down the hall in Lorna's room, peering at the white blob in the distance. She heard Skylar come in and she said, "Snowman inna snow!" yet again, pointing at the window before running over to Skylar and hugging her legs. "Snowman inna snow," she said again one more time, only it was much less childish that time, and more scared than anything.
Conrad climbed down to witness the scene and took Lorna's gun from Skylar before moving toward the backdoor to see if anyone needed any help. It looked like they were coming back inside though, thoroughly frozen, and he instead moved to help Rick pile the corpses.
Lorna, having thanked Ace for allowing her to use him like a step stool basically was surprised when he all but leapt over the fence. She doubted Conrad was that agile- he could hop a fence, but it took a lot more effort. She supposed she couldn't be all that surprised, though- he'd done more impressive things since he'd arrived. Breathing heavily, she made her way toward Rick to help with his work.
"We'll have to take care of the others later-- if we don't get inside soon we're all probably going to get frostbite." Rick nodded- he could feel it, definitely. Conrad took that as an invitation to go back inside and he was followed by Lorna. Rick lingered for a minute before kicking the pile and retreating inside- angry at the walkers for finding them at what would have been the perfect close to a perfect day.
