Skylar: She sat up completely, waving a hand.
"No, no, no. I'm fine!" She was not really fine, in fact she still felt pretty shaky. But she was determined to not feel that way, and figured squashing it down would probably help. "Thank you for your concern, though, little rabbit. It really is sweet of you." She threw in a wink, hoping that would make everything lighthearted. She actually kind of wanted him to come over and hug her, but at the same time she didn't really want to be touched right now. She was getting pretty sick pretty quick of the stupid dichotomy rising within her.
"How about you? I didn't even ask, did you get any bumps or bruises?" She felt suddenly concerned and selfish. Conrad had been thrown farthest, and he had been in the position where the couch could have landed on him. Why hadn't she asked before?!

Conrad nodded, and looked away from her when she called him sweet. It wasn't a big deal, checking in on her- he hoped she didn't think it was a bother or anything. When she asked him if he was okay he put his hands out in front of him, palms outward, in a defensive position.
"Oh! No no no no, I'm fine." In truth, his back and shoulders kind of hurt, but it was the kind of hurt that would go away by morning. He would know. "I grew up with three brothers and one sister who was just as tough as them. Being the weakest out of all of them for most of my life, I can say with experience that I'm pretty sturdy." That part was fully true- he got pain worse than this just by deciding to play a board game with his family, let alone all the sports they played together. "Don't worry about that."
He stared at his feet and rubbed his head before turning toward the door a bit. "I guess I'll... leave you to it, then."

Skylar: She grinned a little as he reassured her that he was fine. "I guess it would help to have a family to toughen you up. Not sure how a little rabbit like you would survive otherwise." As he backed toward the door, she blinked. She hadn't realized the conversation was dying. Crap. She was usually better than this. She didn't want to force him to stay, though. She brought her knees up, looping one arm loosely around them. "Oh. Um, okay. Yeah. Sure. Lorna says... rest. Yeah. Okay. Bye?" What the heck. She fiddled with the blanket on the bed, tugging it out from under her legs. ==>
